Fuel/Chemical Spill Response & Clean ups

K’Netics is involved in the handling of fuel and chemical spills on both land or water. Our highly trained, experienced and well equipped response team is capable of handling any fuel or chemical spill on land or water. We adequately contain the spill, hence minimizing spill clean up costs, threats to human life and the environment and limit further damage to the tanker or trailer.

Our spill response services include: Communicating with the relevant authorities, Site analysis, Spill containment, Sealing of leaking tankers, Product transfers/uplifts, Polishing and filtration of recovered fuel to remove impurities, Waste transport and disposal, Incident reporting, Facilitation of incident management, and Training tanker/truck drivers as first responders.

Fuel Spill Clean up on Land

Using internationally accepted methods, practices, procedures and materials. During spill clean-ups, our main aim is to quickly contain the spill, thus minimising impacts of the spillage on human health & safety and the environment, Further, this ultimately reduces spill clean-up costs.

For fuel spills on roads and railways, we are able to conduct thorough spill clean-up, enabling the restoration of normal traffic flow within the shortest possible time.

Chemical Spills on Land

Our spill response team is able to conduct spill clean up of assorted industrial chemicals including acids and other highly dangerous industrial chemicals. We are also able to recover as much of the spilt chemical as possible, thus minimising potential losses for our clients and limiting environmental damage.

After recovery of the spilt chemicals and clean up of the affected area, we are able to restore the affected area to as close to its initial condition as possible using appropriate chemicals.

Fuel Spill Clean up on Water

Our spill response team is able to undertake even the most challenging spill clean ups such as cleaning up spillages of fuel on water courses and river banks. We are well versed in the use of spill containment booms, rope-mop skimmers and oil absorbent materials with the capability to absorb oil while repelling water.

Fuel/Chemical Uplifts

We are able to carry out fuel or chemical spill clean ups on roadways and railway sidings. K’Netics’ spill response team is able to conduct professional uplifts of spilt fuel or liquid chemicals, ensuring that our clients’ potential loss is somewhat mitigated by recovering as much of the spilt fuel or chemical as possible.

For recovered fuel, we are also able to filter and polish it so that impurities from the fuel are removed, leaving the fuel in its initial condition.

Throughout the uplifting process, we ensure that the safety of all personnel and property is safeguarded.

Bio-remediation of Contaminated Environments (Soil and Water)

K’Netics provides both ex-situ and in-situ bioremediation of both fresh and historically fuel or chemical contaminated sites using the highest quality bioremediation materials in the industry.

We also initiate remediation protocols for companies and train their HSEQ personnel in remediation of contaminated environments.
